If you intend to obtain and maintain a flying status you require a medical examination by an aeromedical examiner doctor (AME) which is certified in aviation medicine by the Ministry of Health in Romania and also certified as aeromedical examiner by the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 of 3 November 2011 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation aircrew pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament.
The medical certificates/reports issued by our AME's are recognized all over European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) member state.

Private aviation medicine in Romania has a short history. In September 2006 doctor Constantin RĂDUICĂ founded the Society of Aviation Medicine and became the first private aeromedical examiner in Romania.
Six years after, Dr Leonard-Marin LUPU joined this initiative. Having a background for more than 20 years in military aviation medicine (he obtained the certificate for aviation medicine issued by the Ministry of Health in Romania).
In 2007 Dr Camelia BAKRI became a certified aeromedical examiner, under the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority. After 5 years of practice in this field dr BAKRI has more than 2000 cases of aviation professionals which have medical certificates issued by her.
